Hate asking for money you're owed?
Checkio follows up for you
Rent, fees, money you lent, invoices. Checkio reminds people before it's due, gives a gentle nudge if they forget, and sends a formal letter if it comes to that. No awkward conversations for you.
Checkio is in closed beta in Korea, inside Rent Check. Tell us your country and we'll let you know when it opens there.

Checkio, chief of staff of the Doncheck family
The same Checkio works in every Doncheck service. However many services you use, Checkio looks after the money you're owed.
- In Doncheck, a short morning report on whether the money that came in adds up
- In Rent Check, a heads-up before rent day, and a polite follow-up when it's late
- Anywhere, a formal letter when money owed is long overdue
Any money you're owed
Money due on a set date, or money that's already late. Checkio doesn't mind which.
A day of sending a formal letter
If you've done it even once, you know.
How Checkio follows up
On set days, in the same calm tone. The moment the money arrives, it stops and says thank you.
Nothing is sent between 9 pm and 8 am. Messages go out in your name. Checkio only delivers them.
Why you don't have to say it yourself
A reminder before the due date alone means fewer late payments. In a 2013 UK trial, people who got a reminder addressed to them by name paid more often.
Keep the relationship
"It wasn't me, it was Checkio." Renewing the lease later feels a lot less awkward.
Keep the record
What was sent and when is kept, ready as evidence if it ever goes to a formal letter or court.
Offer a way forward
Not just pressure. Checkio asks when payment is possible and records the date you agree on.
Three ways to send a formal letter
Writing it is free. You pay only when it's sent. Prices will be announced country by country.
Once it's posted you get the tracking number, and we let you know when it's delivered.
Got a message from Checkio?
Checkio sent it on behalf of the person you owe (your landlord, a business, someone who lent you money). Here's how to check it's real.
Checkio never asks for passwords, verification codes or card numbers, never asks you to install an app, and never reports to credit bureaus.
Questions
What is Checkio?
The "money-owed assistant" shared by the Doncheck family. It reminds people before payments are due, follows up step by step when they're late, and sends a formal letter if needed.
Does Checkio collect the money?
No. Money always goes straight to your account. Checkio is a tool that delivers messages in your name on set days. It never calls or visits anyone.
How are reminders sent?
In the beta, by text from your own phone: Checkio writes it, you send it with one tap. Sending directly by messenger is in the works.
Does a messenger letter count?
What you sent and when it was opened are kept as a record, which can help as evidence if there's a dispute. Rules differ by country, so for the most certainty we recommend a registered letter as well.
How is the other person's contact used?
Only for these reminders, using the contact details you got through your deal or contract. Never for ads, and never shared.
